Born and raised in Rochester, NY, I followed the snow fall west through Salt Lake City, UT for college to Portland, OR where I graduated from the National College of Natural Medicine as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, a four-year program of clinical sciences and holistic methods of healing and disease prevention (learn more about Naturopathic Physicians here).  In addition to my required curriculum I continued to explore the connection between our physical health and our energetic, emotional, and spiritual experiences.   I completed extensive training in the Herscu Method of Homeopathy, Biotheraputic Drainage, Applied Kenesiology, and hands on energy healing such as chakra balancing techniques and intuitive counseling.

Also while in medical school I conducted extensive research with the Helfgot Research Institute in the field of Psychoneuroimmunology in which I studied the interrelationships between the modalities of medicine of Ayurvedic Medicine, Classical Chinese Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Modern Psychology and Western Medicine and how each system of medicine defines and heals the relationship between personality and health.

I am also co-founder and active member of Inside Out: A coalition of physicians, healthcare provides and active patients from across the United States collectively working on how to transform Health Care from a  disease management system to a Health and Healing system of patient doctor partnership, where patients are quickly returned to health and practitioners are self-expressed, fulfilled and free to practice the medical techniques that work.
