Kathleen’s Bio
Kathleen Lakey LCSW is a psychotherapist located in Salt Lake City, Utah. She obtained her Master of Social Work from the University of Utah in 2010. She has been practicing in the field of trauma and recovery ever since. Kathleen began her career in rural Alaska working in community mental health working as a therapist and then as program director of a non-profit local resource in southeast Alaska.
She returned to Salt Lake City where she worked in school based mental health with grades K-12. Kathleen began a solo private practice in 2017 and began to utilize EMDR therapy along with IFS based therapy. In 2021 Kathleen expanded her practice to a group private practice which now includes 7 total clinicians who are all EMDR trained and receive regular EMDR consultation from experts in the field of EMDR and Dissociative Disorders. Her passion is to treat the most difficult trauma cases and to be an active participant in building a trauma informed society for all.
